2025 Season Rank: 12th

Who they’re losing: Kaitlyn Ewald, Kalyxta Gamiao, Maddie Jones, Mati Waligora, Chandler Buntin, Sadie Smith (Transfer Arizona), Dakota Essenpries (Transfer to Mizzou)

Who they’re gaining: Morgan Price (Transfer from Fisk), Madison Gustitus (Transfer from San Jose), Allison Cucci, Avery King, Avalon Campbell, Bradley Burton, Addison Bare, Riley Jandorf

The New Faces:

The Razorbacks looked good in 2025, but injuries ultimately limited them from reaching their full potential. Despite the setbacks, they still managed to hang with the very top teams, making their potential for this season even greater with some talented (and experienced) athletes joining the roster or returning from injury.

Transfers:
One of the most shocking transfer announcements over the summer came from Morgan Price, who was originally committed to Arkansas but chose to decommit in order to make history as part of the first-ever HBCU gymnastics program (Fisk University). While at Fisk, Morgan — the sister of fifth-year senior Frankie Price — won six USAG National titles and scored a perfect 10 on the uneven bars in her junior year, making her the first-ever HBCU gymnast to achieve perfection. Look for Morgan in the all-around this season because her gymnastics has been looking better than ever in preseason training videos!

The Razorbacks also gain Madison Gustitus, a sophomore transfer from San Jose State. Gustitus came into San Jose as one of the top Level 10 gymnasts in the country, but she only scratched the surface of what she’s capable of in her freshman campaign. She has experience competing on beam but is really nice on every event and will only add to the depth of some of these lineups. Freshmen:
Allison Cucci has the potential to be one of the top freshmen in the country, with no real weak events. It’s not easy to break into the lineup on every event in your freshman season, but head coach Jordyn Wieber has high expectations for Cucci with the level of difficulty and confidence that she brings. Avery King has stunning lines on bars and beam and is very “Helen Hu-esque,” according to Wieber. Avalon Campbell is also impressive on bars and beam but is still working back from an ACL injury sustained in February 2025. We’ve seen her back on bars in preseason, and if healthy, it’s absolutely a routine the Razorbacks will want in their lineup. Bradley Burton is also coming back from an elbow injury, so she will likely not see lineup time this season but her best events are vault and bars. Addison Bare is in the mix on bars and beam, while Riley Jandorf is powerful on floor, competing a double layout in Level 10.

Vault Breakdown:
Losing from postseason lineup: Dakota Essenpries
New faces to watch for: Morgan Price, Allison Cucci

Outlook: For the first time ever, the Razorbacks have the potential to field a full lineup of realistic 10.0 start values. They lose only one routine from last season but bring in transfer Morgan Price, whose Yurchenko 1.5 has looked phenomenal in preseason training videos. They also add freshman Allison Cucci, whose Yurchenko 1.5 scored two perfect 10s in her club career and was remarkably consistent. We’d be shocked if both Price and Cucci weren’t locked into this lineup. The team also regains Lauren Williams, who was injured last season but averaged a 9.883 during the 2024 season.

As for returning athletes, newly minted World bronze medalist on vault, Joscelyn Roberson, is a shoo-in for this lineup. Ja’Leigh Lang was the epitome of consistency with her clean and powerful Yurchenko full, averaging a 9.85 last season, which actually makes her the highest scoring returner for the Razorbacks based on average. Leah Smith also brings a reliable Yurchenko full (9.825 average), which Wieber has prioritized in years past over other 10.0 start-value options.

Hailey Klein has a strong Yurchenko 1.5 capable of scoring big — her career high is a 9.975, and is someone Wieber spoke highly of in terms of her all around potential. Grace Drexler’s Yurchenko 1.5 cracked the lineup a few times last season; while not always consistent, she can score well when she hits. And of course, there’s Cami Weaver, whose Yurchenko full made the lineup last season, averaging a 9.818.

Uneven Bar Breakdown:
Losing from postseason lineup: Kaitlyn Ewald, Maddie Jones, Mati Waligora
New faces to watch for: Morgan Price, Allison Cucci, Avalon Campbell, Avery King, Hailey Klein.

Outlook: The Razorbacks are losing half their postseason lineup on this event; however, they have several new faces vying for a spot. Morgan Price scored a perfect 10 on this event last season with Fisk, and only stands to improve her scoring potential in the SEC. Allison Cucci is a nice bar swinger who was super consistent as a Level 10 and will likely make the lineup here. There’s also freshman Avalon Campbell who, if healthy, would make for a stunning addition to this lineup with her long lines, extended toe point, and overall flexibility.

There are a few other athletes that Jordyn mentioned as being in contention for the bar lineup that we haven’t seen many videos of in preseason, but Avery King and Hailey Klein are also expected to make a push for the lineup.

In terms of returners, Reese Drotar could be on 10 watch if she’s healthy this season. She averaged a 9.864 in 2024 and is by far the highest average on this team. Joscelyn Roberson has been working hard to improve her lines on bars and will likely make the lineup due to her potential in the all-around (9.79 average). Other options include Cally Swaney (9.777 avg), Priscilla Park (9.745), and freshman Addison Bare (9.825 career high in club).

Beam Breakdown:
Losing from postseason lineup: Kalyxta Gamiao, Mati Waligora
New faces to watch for: Morgan Price, Allison Cucci, Avery King, Avalon Campbell, Madison Gustitus, Addison Bare

Outlook: The beam lineup is going to be a bit more difficult to predict due to how many options the Razorbacks currently have. They return Joscelyn Roberson, one of the best beam workers in the country last season (9.882 avg). They also return Priscilla Park (9.834), Cami Weaver (9.758), Hailey Klein (9.793), and Cally Swaney (9.706), all of whom made the lineup last season. But no spot is guaranteed when you’re returning Lauren Williams from injury (9.782), bringing in transfers like Morgan Price (9.67) and Madison Gustitus (9.785), and freshmen who excel on beam such as Allison Cucci, Avery King, Avalon Campbell, and Addison Bare. We certainly don’t envy the coaches as they try to piece together this lineup — but it’s a good problem to have at this point in the preseason!

Floor Breakdown:
Losing from postseason lineup: Kalyxta Gamiao, Mati Waligora, Maddie Jones
New faces to watch for: Morgan Price, Allison Cucci, Ja’Leigh Lang, Madison Gustitus, Riley Jandorf

Outlook: This was Arkansas’s best event last season, and they are reloading for 2026! Lauren Williams is set to make her return and averaged a monstrous 9.921 in 2024. Joscelyn Roberson was incredibly consistent in her freshman campaign, averaging a 9.891. Athletes like Leah Smith (9.84), Hailey Klein (9.829), and Priscilla Park (9.833) all saw time in the lineup last year. The return of Frankie Price will be an interesting storyline to follow, as she works to return from an achilles injury sustained in the regional semi final. Frankie averaged a 9.9 on floor last season and the Razorbacks would love to have her consistency (and energy!) back on this event for postseason.

And then there are the newcomers: Morgan Price averaged a 9.8 on this event last year at Fisk, but again, the scoring potential in the SEC is much higher. Freshmen Allison Cucci and Riley Jandorf both compete big double layouts that would make for fun additions to this lineup. There’s also Ja’Leigh Lang and transfer Madison Gustitus, who haven’t seen much action on this event yet but have so much potential to really step it up and make a push for the lineup. Despite losing half their postseason lineup, we expect this to remain one of the Razorbacks’ best events in 2026.

Final Outlook:
This Arkansas team has something to prove this season after just missing out on the SEC Championship and NCAA Championship in 2025. With key athletes returning from injuries, talented freshmen, and some experienced transfers, there’s no reason why this Razorback team can’t contend for a spot in the Final Four come April. Head coach Jordyn Wieber described her team as “sneaky good,” and we couldn’t agree more!

Arkansas is in a solid position to make a jump in the rankings if they can stay healthy and use the disappointments of last year as motivation to show the world who they really are!
